Yeah, yeah, I'm just now getting into the whole blog thing. I figured it'd be a great way to keep track of everything I do snowboard related and this way, my mother could also read up on what I've been up to and see pictures.... hi mom!
I guess this is where I talk about myself and how I ended up driving all over the country before settling in the land of sunshine and powder; Breckenridge, Colorado.
When I was 18, I graduated high school in May 2007 and chose to go to California State University, Northridge, even though I really wanted to go to Colorado. I packed my car, of course bringing my 2 snowboards; my most important essentials. Nitro Nyx 146 and Atomic Fallen Angel 141.
My mom helped me drive from St. Louis, Missouri, to Los Angeles, California. We took the southern route through 6 states and the drive took 3 days because we liked to take our time and look at places. We stopped at some cool spots like the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas, I really liked it, here's a pic I took:

So anyways, I finished my first year at CSUN and while I attended that school, I lived ten minutes away from the beach but still managed to pull in 70 something days of snowboarding this year. Yeah, I definitely need to get closer to the mountains. I drove 80 miles to Mountain High and back daily... damn that's a lot of driving. I pretty much moved to Lake Tahoe during my 2nd semester, barely passing some of my classes. I caught the end of the season there and it was a blast there... I loved it. I also lived there during the summer in Soda Springs, it's next to Truckee and up in the summit. A nice quiet town but some European bastard wants to build condos and stuff there.. it sucks.
Anyways, I got bored in Tahoe and I missed my friends in Breck too much so I woke up one morning and decided, "Fuck it." I packed my car and drove from Tahoe to Salt Lake City, running over a raccoon in the process at 90 mph. Shit. I'm surprised my deathtrap didn't swerve off the road and burst in flames. I saw my old friends from St Louis who also migrated west, stayed there a couple days, and finally left for Breckenridge, CO. Oh yeah, did I mention my dad didn't know? Yeah, he was pissed. Oh well. My life, I do what I want.
I am absolutely loving it out here. I have no regrets at all. No regrets, that's my motto. That, and everybody wang chung tonight.
I'M HOME! :D
