Ride Bandita Contraband
The Ride Fever is supposed to appeal to the girls who love to jib, and they also added the PopStix which is supposed to increase the POP! With that in mind, I set out to see how this board rode.
BUTTER IT!
Yep, do-able!! Not as buttery as, say, a GNU B-Street, but I am positive that this board will soften up the more you ride it.
SWITCH IT UP!
Riding switch was no problem, but it didn't feel as smooth and flowy as the Nitro Runaway.
POP IT!
Very poppy. I likey. There's this fun little roller right before the park that you can pop off, and I overshot it. Woops.
BOMB IT!
No issues going fast... I felt comfortable going faster and this board also held an edge as I went down... even over ice, it didn't slip out under me.
SPIN TO WIN!
Very spinny... especially on the fat-box... holy. I went to spin on it, and this board slid on the box very fast. It's hard to explain, but it felt like it slid on the boxes and rails really fast, no catching or grabby feeling which is nice if you like to jib a lot. This board was so fun to pop little spins along the trail.
ARTSY-FARTSY!
This board is pretty subtle when it comes to graphics. There's some zebra/tiger stripes, black on black. You can never go wrong with animal prints. Rawr.
THE VERDICT?!
Well, I really enjoyed this board. I don't think a girl can go wrong with this board if she likes to jib and ride around. The bindings, on the other hand, ehhhhhhhhh. I don't know... maybe it's my boots, but I never felt like I could get the straps to hug my boots perfectly. Even when I ollied, my boot would slip out a little bit and end up on top of the side of the bindings... pain in the ass. You never know though, the bindings could be fantastic for someone else.

Nice review of the Fever! Just wondering how it compared with your Compact. I'm trying to decide which one to get!

Hey Cella-
Both boards were fun, but honestly, the Fever felt so plain after riding the Compact.. hehe. The Lowrize rocker on the Compact made the board feel very playful and super fun. I'd go for the Compact if you want a board that you can take all over the mountain as well as the park. Otherwise, get the Fever!
what kind of boots do you have? I have burton Axels and just wondering if the Bandita's would fit my boots?
also have you had the chance to compare the ride canvas ans compact?
I have 32 Lashed boots from a few years ago. I have no clue if your boots will fit, best bet would be to go to a shop that carries the bandita and see if they fit. However if your boots are rounded at the toes, they should fit. Mine are more square.
Nope, haven't had the chance to ride the Canvas, sorry!! Try checking Shayboarder.com, maybe she tried it??
