I celebrated a nice Thanksjibbing with my amazing boyfriend, we cooked a turkey and ate stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy... mmmm... finishing with pumpkin pie! Oh yeah holiday pounds, come to me!! Fortunately, every year Copper Mountain throws their annual Leftover Yam and Jive Turkey Rail Jam (or something like that... aka Yam Jam) to "work off those holiday pounds." The set up was a flat box that dropped to another flat box to a down box (no gaps between boxes), an up-gap-down box, and a skatestyle rail. My friends Emily and Dawn came out to do the Yam Jam with me, so I was pretty stoked to do it with some good friends of mine! We hiked a lot, we spun a lot, we stashed a lot of Red Bulls in my backpack, and we had a lot of fun. The girls didn't get a finals, but the guys did, and Dawn's boyfriend, Grey, made it to the finals among with some other 720 guys... sick!! They moved the finals to a round skatestyle down rail, and the 720 boys were dominating it.

Grey Clifford getting some

Lakota Sage wasn't bad

Xavier lost his shirt, but not his steez!
Once the mens finals were over, we crowded around the judges to see who won. Emily, Dawn, and I swept the girls podium!! STOKED!
The winners! Myself, Emily, and DawnEmily won a snowboard, it was actually planned in advance for the womens winner... but.... it was like a mens Sapient 157 board... rock on. Emily rides 140ish boards, so that was waaaaaaay too big hahaha. I love when contests give you prizes that are totally wrong for the division... like that one time when I got a guy's XL shirt for winning the girls division at one rail jam. The Yam Jam was so much fun though and if we had Holiday pounds, those are gone now!
