I was checking out the 2010 Smith snow goggles on their website and came upon this Smith Heiress. There's another guy's goggle like this too.

What the HELL? Why the dreamcatcher? Yeah, I totally need one of those... I sleep all the time while snowboarding and need it to ward off nightmares... this whole gypsy trend is getting stupid. I know that dreamcatchers belong to the Native Americans, but gypsies, being the filthy thieves they are, stole it from them. Bastards!

2010 Betty Rides

Okay, I've had my 2010 Betty Rides Outerwear catalog for a while, and figured I'd throw up some of my favorite 2010 stuff they're coming out with. I'm not uploading every single picture, they have a LOT of gear! Plus, this way, you're all craving for some more when the website comes out! Oh yeah, sorry the pics suck, I used my phone... I had to move my stuff around and my camera's in a box somewhere!

First off we have the Rocker Pants from the Trinket series... these pants are just AWESOME! My favorite is the blue one pictured below:

The black ones with gold print looks gross... haha, it looks like something that a 50 year old woman trying to look 18 years old would wear... same with the white pants with gold print. The blue ones are so awesome though.

Betty Rides didn't stop the leopard prints at the pants, they also have the Trinket Jacket:



Don't worry, they have some tame outerwear if you're not feeling wild enough to rock the leopard print. This one is the Magic Down Parka from the Eco Herringbone series:

Betty Rides has a total of 43 jackets and pants for this year (that's not counting all the colors each one is available in, each one has at least 3 color options), so you should be able to find something you want easy.

Aparments can suck sometimes

Like the title says, apartments can suck sometimes. My boyfriend and I and our 3 dogs got a great deal on a newly remodeled apartment that allowed dogs. Not only is it the cheapest we found in the mountains, but this place has no pet deposit and it didn't say "1 dog only" or anything like that. Perfect!

We moved in and everything was great, the manager was really cool and very helpful. Then he got fired :( Now some bitch took his place and she sucks at managing. The old manager always gave me change for laundry (no change machine here) and now the new one refuses to do that. Just a few days ago, she gave my boyfriend a call saying we had a "huge, aggressive pitbull." Oh yeah, we totally have one.







All of my dogs are very mellow, especially the husky which is surprising since they're usually crazy-ass dogs. The beagle and english bulldog are older, so all they do is lay around. The husky and beagle don't know how to bark, haha, and the bulldog only barks at coyotes while she's outside. This only happens like twice a month and lasts for 3 seconds. I guess the manager fears the bulldog, even though kids come and pet her all the time. She could eat a kid if she wanted, but she doesn't. My guess is the manager probably came out when the bulldog was barking at a coyote and thought, "OH MY GOD, AGGRESSIVE PITBULL!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Yeah, she's totally a pitbull. Let's see.

Yep, my bulldog looks EXACTLY like a pitbull. Not only that, but the manager also called and demanded a pet deposit. Bullshit! I told my boyfriend I had a copy of the lease and it doesn't say anything about it, and would look through it after I showered. Well, she called back while I was showering and basically said, "Sorry, I'm a retard, there's no pet deposit." That's right. I should leave a flaming bag of dog poop at her door, my dogs poop a lot.

New Shop Opening!

The shop that I ride for, 720 Board Shop, is opening a new second location in Centennial, Colorado. I never realized how much work it is to build a shop, but wow. It is. We had to hang up slatwalls, and that sucked because they were so heavy and soft, they were like trying to fall over whenever we picked one up. Adrian also got a bunch of graffiti artists to come and paint the walls and the paintings are SICK!!!!


Me working VERY hard. I'm either really lazy or innovative, sitting on the skateboard painting the trim... weeeeeeeeeeeeee!
The shop is located off University and Arapahoe (more specifically, Vine and Arapahoe), but it's among many new shops in a new shopping area. It's actually right next to an ice cream place, Maggie Moo's!! YUM!!!!! It's also one shop away from a new movie theater, so it shouldn't be too hard to find!

The grand opening is sometime next week... I read a press release that said it would be Friday, Aug 28th for all the stores in the area (except for a few who will open in November) but someone said Sunday... hmmm. One thing I know for sure is that 720 is opening THURSDAY, AUG 27TH at 10AM!

Some more exciting news is that we're carrying more brands, we just got DC, Oakley, Capita (YEAH I'M GETTING THE SPACE METAL FANTASY!!!!), maybe Never Summer snowboards (maybe because BC, another shop, is kinda close by) and I know I'm forgetting some. We also have Technine, Rome, Ride, Arbor, Electric, Dragon, Spy, Roxy, Quiksilver, Nomis, 32, Neff, Grenade, Dakine, and so many more. We also have tons of local brands, like Eyedenity Threads, Bing Energy Drinks, Gnar bar, Candy Grind, and bunches of other stuff. Note: these are the stuff we have at the other 720 location, so I'm not guaranteeing that every single brand we have there will be at the newer location!

We also carry skateboards and wakeboards (I know we have Liquid Force stuff) but I don't know skateboards... ha ha ha so you'd have to come in and see for yourself.

You're probably wondering, "WTF? Why are the slatwalls in the first pic white and brown in the second pic?" The thing is, when we got the walls, they were supposed to be "ready-to-paint" but the damn walls kept absorbing the paint... it took a lot of coats for the paint to finally get solid. SO we painted the other side with primer (Like 3 coats!). Moral is, "ready-to-paint" may not always be true... hmmph.

Nidecker Design Competition

I entered the Nidecker design competition a while ago, and I did not win (good thing because I didn't have the original huge file they required winners to send... heh... my dang photoshop kept crashing when I tried to make one). However, I did make the 'notable entries', yeah!



I'm not a big fan of the winning design, I think it looks too.... generic, like someone used photoshop and used a brush to add those stuff. I really do like the totem pole board in the finals, and the pyramid one too, that one is just rad. As for the last board in the finals, that one has too much shit going on. It is cool though, I love the idea behind it. It looks like it should be a poster in a shop or something, haha. 2010 Season!

I CAN'T WAIT FOR WINTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is gonna be the first year I'm getting all new equipment, yeah! I usually try to get 3 years out of my stuff, but destiny has determined that I get all new gear... SO STOKED!

I'm gonna be rocking the Capita Space Metal Fantasy FK 145 with... I don't know what bindings yet, probably Rome Madison??



It has a UNICORN!!!!!!!!!! How rad is that?

And I loved my Dragon Rogue so much I'm getting another pair... but I'm torn between these two colors:
